Dorchester County, Md Public School #4 - District 10

Mr Harry Howeth has generously sent us the Daily Register for Public School #4 - Straits District #10 for the years 1888 thru 1894.

While there is no mention of parents or ages it does give us pause to think about our great grandparents being in school. The first page contains the name of my great grandmother, Verdona Hurley, who later married Charles Millard Kinnamon. Verdona died when I was very young, but had made me a quilt while in her sickbed that I have on my guestroom bed to this day. I remember going in the "sickroom" at my grandmother's to see her. I think of her everytime I enter the guestroom and I guess that is what it is all about, being remembered.
